RIVER GLEN HAVEN NURSING HOME
River Glen Haven (RGH) is located directly on the banks of the Black River in Sutton, Ontario, and has 119 beds. Our Home was established in 1981, and ever since then we have taken great pride in being a safe a secure facility while providing a "Home away from Home" atmosphere.
An enclosed garden provides a safe and convenient outdoor experience for residents, family, and visitors to enjoy while eating "home-cooked meals."
We take pride in the compassionate care, warm hospitality, and a safe environment where all staff treat each resident as a unique individual. Our Residents are also encouraged to join the many programs offered by recreation therapists, physiotherapists, and volunteers.

Passionate about working in a field that means something to him, Dan has work at RGH since 2008. His favourite part of the job is working with the many elderly friends and their families.
Director of Food and Nutrition
Ferdinand Pagar
Ferdinand started working in LTC in 2008. He started as a Food Service Worker while working as a Food Service Worker he decided to take Food Services and Nutrition Management at Canadian Healthcare Association (CHA Learning now Healthcare Can). Soon as he finished his management course and member of Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM), he applied to a private nursing home and luckily got the job as a Food Services Supervisor. Ferdinand has experiences working with different homes in the GTA and from this home that he worked with, he gains knowledge on how to mingle and deal with different types of people not just residents but families and co-workers as well. Ferdinand is thankful with the first nursing home that give him the opportunity to share his knowledge and expertise to resident. Ferdinand will continue striving to gain more knowledge, expertise, and experiences to share to his residents and colleagues. Ferdinand has 17 years of experience in LTC; 10 years of which is Food Services Worker. Currently, Ferdinand is the Director of Nutrition Services at RGH and this year he is celebrating his 7 years of managerial and directorial work.

Laurie McAndrews
Sara joined River Glen Haven in 2019. Sara has worked in the Long-Term Care Sector for 5 years holding positions of various responsibilities. Sara is the current RAI-MDS Coordinator and an Assistant Director of Care focusing on resident care assessments

Pavel Ilyenkou
Paul has held several clinical management and consulting positions at Chartwell Retirement Residences, Sienna Senior Living and Extendicare. He has extensive experience in dementia care, with a focus on creating person-centered care cultures. Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and he is in the process of completing a Bachelor of Business Administration, both at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson). He enjoys playing golf during summer, skiing in winter, and being a loyal Maple Leaf’s fan.
MICHELLE DEPINTO
Assistance Director of Care - IPAC Lead
Michelle has worked at River Glen Haven for 18 years. As the charge nurse on the floor delivering primary care to residents for 16 years Michelle has taken her knowledge and experience to a management position as the Assistant Director of Care and IPAC Lead. Michelle brings exceptional problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and profound compassion to the River Glen Haven community.
DARLENE HORNE
Darlene graduated from the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM), obtained her Human Resources certificate, completed her Administrators Certificate with the Canadian Healthcare Association and became a Certified Nutrition Manager (CNM) in 2019. Darlene now leads the team at RGH as they pioneer providing essential care through a revolutionary collaborative care model.
SUSAN BRIGLEY
Recreations Director
Susan began her career in Recreation in LTC in 2000. Susan enjoys working with people of all ages, she feels that making people smile is the best part of each day. In her role, Susan focuses on providing programs that meet the individual needs of each resident.
